pesto pesto pesto

laura and i bought some beautiful basil on commercial dr. yesterday and turned it into jars of delicious pesto. we used walnuts instead of pine nuts and ground almonds instead of parmesan cheese... just to keep it light, cheap and vegan. the results: 2 generous jars of brilliant pesto at about $4 each. fantastic!

maybe this should be the inspiration for our guerrilla gourmet operation later this summer...
